The co-op gameplay experience in The Oyster Hotel gives you the ability to play as Ned and Julia or Giuseppe and Vivian or sometimes a mix between - but each mission is designed for co-op play and working together to find a solution to stop the city from flooding and stopping time from unraveling.
Original Storyline by Two People
The Oyster Hotel was created by two people that really love each other and really love good stories. We started writing the script for The Oyster Hotel about two years ago on our honeymoon. It's evolved into something crazier and more adventurous than we ever imagined and creating it has been quite a ride. We really focused on making a game that is awesome to play with your favorite person.
All-Original Jazz Score
The entire soundtrack of The Oyster Hotel is originally composed and created by Will Hamilton, Elijah's father. It was recorded in Missouri near the boyhood home of Mark Twain.
Original Characters and Design
All characters in The Oyster Hotel are original characters created from our imaginations, modeled in Zbrush and Maya and rigged and animated with love in Unity.
3rd Person Adventures
We really love playing third person games. So it's a third person game. For us it's more about experiencing the art - we like to be able to see the environments and appreciate the details and really become the character we're playing.
Gain Energy from cappuccino, coffee, and helping guest achieve goals.
Lend a guest of the hotel a regard and appreciation recieve energy or let them borrow coffee or sugar.
Gaining energy in this game also can happen when you read a classic book, which Ned loves to do.
Energy can be gained by putting together new floating devices in case there is a flood.
A Few Hints about Gameplay...
Protect The Oyster Hotel from flooding and prevent random time jumping and collisions.
Keep the radio station running (it powers the town...)
Rescue the sleepwalking guests.
Fight your way through the 1920's storyline with the legendary musician Smit who has a history with a broken hearted woman by the name of Big Bobbi Mama Mae.
Use different pipes and furniture to create tools, weapons, and floatation devices that help defend, protect, and save you from time mobsters.
Four Playable Characters
Throughout The Oyster Hotel, you play as the game's lead characters - Ned (The Maintenance Man) and Julia (Radio Host) and occasionally as Giuseppe and Vivienne (Masters at Fixing Clocks.)
These are the expected specs of our current game we will update you if this changes, but this is very unlikely.
